Almost turned around and went home

I have had a stellar time seeing Afro-Cuban All Stars on multiple occasions. The Fall of 2026 show at Madison Square Garden in NYC, part of their Farewell tour, was especially memorable. However, I was horrified by the ridiculous amount of time it took me to get from Boca Raton to FTX Arena in Miami. The traffic from the exit for the arena to the parking area took about 1.5 hours to cover less than a mile, despite the presence of numerous empty police cars with flashing lights. The policemen seemed to be doing nothing to alleviate the congestion. By the time I arrived at the arena to park, they would not accept my car and I was directed to park at Bayside, which was almost completely full. We departed Boca at 5:20pm and only managed to take our seats at 8:40pm. Afro-Cuban All Stars appeared to have skipped the fanfare present at Madison Square Garden, resulting in a less exciting concert. The stress of the journey may have influenced my lack of enthusiasm. I am uncertain if I will ever return to FTX.
